Save the Bees!
Adobe Illustrator
18in x 24in Poster
Save the Bees is an informational poster designed to raise awarenss about the importance of preserving and promoting pollinators, particularly honeybees, in local ecosystems. Honeybees are responsible for pollinating up to 80% of flowering plants, yet they face significant threats from human activity, pesticide use, and habitat loss. In the Midwest–and in many other regions–bees are crucial to the pollination of farm crops, directly impacting agriculture and food production.
Created for an Earth Day installation, this project blends illustrations, text, and a thoughtfully chosen color palette to keep viewers engaged and infromed. The design follows the path of a bee in flight, guiding the viewer through key facts about pollination statistics in Illinois. The dynamic layout ensures that the information is not only visually aesthetic but easy to digest. The poster ends with a clear call to action, encouraging viewers to support pollination efforts on both local and global scales without any cost. By making bee-friendly decisions, we can all play a role in protecting the natural processes that sustain our animal ecosystem.
