Ep-i-ste-mic is a poster developed to highlight the understanding of epistemic curiosity. Epistemic curiosity is linked to learning, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.  Experiments were conducted to establish abstraction from informational-based design. Using color, typography, and abstract shapes, the Ep-i-ste-mic poster doesn’t just explain epistemic curiosity; it encourages viewers to, activate their curiosity to explore and understand new ideas. 

The bright blue and green are used to encourage attention and alertness of the information on the poster. The word "epistemic" is presented with its phonetic pronunciation, offering viewers a clear yet subtle invitation to decode the underlying message. The layout of the typography further reflects the theme of curiosity by using line breaks, distorted lettering, and playful, irregular placement to create visual tension. This design tactic deliberately “messes” with familiar reading patterns to prompt the viewer to question what they’re seeing. These visual cues push the audience to engage their critical thinking skills to break down the concept of epistemic curiosity, essentially “solving” the puzzle of the poster itself.
